Boots Apotek, the third-largest pharmacy chain in Norway, needed a strong management system to simplify operations and improve customer experience across its 150 pharmacies.

They sought a solution that could efficiently manage pharmaceuticals, retail items, and complex inventory and dispensing processes, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. They also needed a system designed to support future initiatives, such as eCommerce integration, self-checkout, and Click and Collect services.

Boots Apotek selected LS Central for pharmacies, LS Retail’s specialized software system tailored for the pharmacy industry, after carefully evaluating its options. Accredited by the Norwegian Health Services (NHN) in January 2023, LS Central meets local healthcare regulations, making it a trusted solution for Norwegian pharmacy chains like Boots.The company was drawn to the system’s robust features, including dispensing management, customer loyalty programs, omni-channel sales, and advanced retail and point of sale capabilities. Boots began implementing LS Central for pharmacies across its entire network in the summer of 2024.

LS Central for pharmacies has already provided Boots Apotek with a wide range of benefits. Boots Once the rollout is completed, which is planned for six months, we’ll fully integrate the entire omnichannel ecosystem, including our e-commerce platform. This will also enable us to implement initiatives like Click & Collect and self-checkout across the chain and manage everything from within LS Central.
